MOTC Outreach

Image (2).jpg

MOTC is more than a retreat ministry, it is a community of people committed to serving others and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. Our ministry is strengthened by volunteers from parishes and faith communities throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio who generously give their time, talents, and hearts to serve. Volunteers play an important role in the MOTC experience as retreat team members, mentors, prayer partners, and encouragers.Their presence is a powerful reminder that restoration happens through community. By coming alongside individuals with compassion, without judgment, and with a willingness to listen, our volunteers help create an environment where participants feel seen, valued, and supported.MOTC also seeks to build meaningful relationships with churches, community organizations, justice partners, and other organizations that share our desire to bring hope and positive change to individuals and families.Together, we are living out the call to serve, creating pathways to restoration, and building a community where faith, hope, and second chances can flourish.

How MOTC Is Supported

The Ministry of the Third Cross (MOTC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization sustained through the generosity of individuals, churches, community partners, and fundraising efforts. MOTC is not affiliated with any single parish, church, or individual benefactor. Instead, our ministry is made possible by a community of supporters who believe in the power of faith, restoration, and transformation.

Building Partnerships - Creating Possibilities

MOTC is grateful to collaborate with organizations that share our commitment to supporting individuals and strengthening our communities. These relationships help expand our reach and provide valuable resources and opportunities for those we serve.

Our community partners have included:

  • Haven for Hope

  • The Center for Health Care Services

  • Our Lady of the Lake University

  • Oblate School of Theology

  • University of the Incarnate Word

  • And many other community and faith-based organizations

How We Raise Funds

MOTC relies on charitable giving and fundraising to sustain our retreats and ongoing ministry. Our primary fundraising efforts include:

  • Annual Gala & Appeal – Our annual fall fundraising event brings together supporters who believe in the mission of MOTC and want to help make restoration possible.

  • Individual & Community Giving – Donations from individuals, churches, organizations, and community supporters provide essential funding throughout the year.

  • Retreat-Specific Fundraising – Each retreat is led by a Director who takes responsibility for raising the funds needed to make their retreat possible.

The average cost to host a retreat ranges from $8,000 to $15,000, covering essential expenses such as meals, materials, lodging, worship resources, and follow-up programming.

Your Gift Makes a Difference

Every contribution helps create an opportunity for someone to experience hope, healing, and the love of Jesus Christ. Whether through a one-time gift, ongoing support, or participation in a fundraising event, your generosity helps MOTC continue walking alongside individuals on their journey toward restoration.

Your generosity helps make the retreat possible. Your support helps make transformation possible.

Every gift, large or small, helps carry the message of Christ's love to those who need it most.

Give Today. Help Make Restoration Possible.
